~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS:
Grief drives men into the habits of serious reflection, sharpens the understanding and softens the heart. - John Adams, Letter to Thomas Jefferson May 6, 1816.
~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS:

Wade Boggs is a future hall of famer who played his greatest years for the Boston Red Soxs. When he played third base for Boston, Boggs hated going to Yankee Stadium. Not because of the Yankees - - but because of a fan. That's right: one "fan."

The guy had a box seat close to the field and when the Red Sox were in town he would torment Boggs by shouting obscenities and insults. It's hard to imagine one fan getting under a player's skin, but apparently this guy had the recipe.

One day before the game, as Boggs was warming up, the "fan" began his typical routine, yelling "Boggs, you stink" and variations on that theme. Boggs decided he'd had enough. He walked directly over to the man, who was sitting in the stands with his friends, and said, "Hey fella, are you the guy who's always yelling at me?" The man said, "Yeah, it's me. What are you going to do about it?"

Wade took a new baseball out of his pocket, autographed it, tossed it to the man, and went back to the field to continue his pregame routine.

The man never yelled at Boggs again; in fact, he became one of Wades' biggest fans at Yankee Stadium.

~~~~~~~ THIS & THAT:
QUESTIONS ABOUT PREGNANCY
Q: Should I have a baby after 35?
A: No, 35 children is enough.
Q: How will I know if my vomiting is morning sickness or the flu?
A: If it's the flu, you'll get better.
Q: What is the most common pregnancy craving?
A: For men to be the ones who get pregnant.
Q: What is the most reliable method to determine a baby's sex?
A: Childbirth.
Q: My childbirth instructor says it's not pain I'll feel during labor, but pressure. Is she right?
A: Yes, in the same way that a tornado might be called an air current.
Q: Do I have to have a baby shower?
A: Not if you change the baby's diaper very quickly.
Q: Our baby was born last week. When will my wife begin to feel and act normal again?
A: When the kids are in college.
~~~~~~~ KEEP SMILING:

Little Johnny's new baby brother was crying and screaming up a storm. He asked his mom, "Where'd baby brother come from?"

His mother replied, "Heaven, Johnny. He came from heaven."

After listening to his baby brother's wailing for another few seconds Johnny shot back, "WOW! I can see why they threw him out"

~~~~~~~ TRIVIA:
How can divers stay in deep water for many hours?
Normally, when a SCUBA diver swims very deep, he or she can only stay at that depth for a short time before it is necessary to return to the surface. The deeper the dive, the less time is available at the bottom, where the high pressure causes nitrogen gas to dissolve in the diver's blood.
On the way back up, the diver must rise slowly to decompress, avoiding the dangerous "bends" that result from bubbles forming in the blood as the nitrogen comes out of solution.
But divers who live in an undersea habitat can swim around at depth for many hours without needing a lengthy decompression period before coming out of the water. Because the habitat's air is at the same pressure as the water at the dive depth, there is no danger of nitrogen bubbling out of their blood when they end the dive.
