~~~~~~~ THOUGHTS:
How old would you be if you didn't know how old you was? - Satchel Paige
~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS:

When two goats meet upon a narrow bridge over deep water, how do they behave? Neither of them can turn back again, neither can pass the other, because the bridge is too narrow; if they should push one another, they might both fall into the water and be drowned; nature, then, has taught them, that if the one lays himself down and permits the other to go over him, both remain without hurt. Even so people should rather endure to be trod upon, than to fall into debate and discord one with another.

~~~~~~~ THIS & THAT:
CHURCH HUMOR
During the serious business of electing the president of our local conference, the decision was made to announce the names of both president and treasurer together for a vote of the waiting constituents. The nominating committee took a very long time to come to their recommendations.
Finally both the president and treasurer were reelected. After the vote they came out to sing a duet. The song was "It Took a Miracle."
By J. Fred Hughes, Lincoln City, Oregon
After explaining to my 6-year-old daughter that the church is Jesus' bride, I was surprised a little while later to hear her singing "Here comes the church. . ." to the tune of "Here Comes the Bride."
Food is a wonderful part of the holiday celebrations. But it was a typographical error, not food, that recently caused one church group to send out a Christmas letter that referred to the "joy of salivation."
