Children are not things to be molded, but are people to be unfolded. - Jess Lair

~~~~~~~ SPECIAL THOUGHTS:
It is very difficult for parents to ask their children for forgiveness. They feel that it somehow damages their authority to admit they have done wrong and promise to do better next time. But I (JCD) believe it is healthy for a morn and dad to model for a child how to apologize when they have done something wrong.
One evening years ago, I was especially grouchy with my ten-year-old daughter, Danae. I blamed her for things that weren't her fault and upset her needlessly. After I went to bed, I realized that I needed to apologize. The next morning I said, "Danae, I'm sure you know that daddies are not perfect human beings. I know I wasn't fair with you last night. I was terribly grouchy, and 1m asking you to forgive me." Danae put her arms around me, then shocked me to my toes when she said, "I knew you were going to have to apologize, Daddy, and it's okay. I forgive you!"
~~~~~~~ THIS & THAT:
Working as a pediatric nurse, I had the difficult assignment of giving immunization shots to children. One day I entered the examining room to give four-year-old Lizzie her shot.
"NO! NO! NO!" she screamed.
"Lizzie," her mother scolded. "That's not polite behavior."
At that, the girl yelled even louder, "NO, THANK YOU! NO, THANK YOU!"

~~~~~~~ KEEP SMILING:
Years ago the safe in our church chapel was used to keep the Sunday offering. One night, thieves broke into the chapel and tried to open the safe. You can still see the marks on the door, and the knob to the safe is broken off. After hours of pounding with a sledge hammer and chisel, the burglars couldn't open the safe, so they left.
The irony is they didn't look around. Whoever had custody of the offering money forgot to put it in the safe. It was sitting in plain sight on the cabinet next to the safe.
I'm often asked where to look for "people finder" sites that offer search tools for telephone, email and address listings. My first answer is always Infospace.
InfoSpace - http://www.infospace.com
If you don't find the person you're looking for, try these other sites since they all use different databases:
Switchboard - http://www.switchboard.com
Yahoo People Search - http://people.yahoo.com
